Meet Alexis Greeves

As a mom of two girls who has lived in many nations, and a clinical therapist for over 20 years, I learned from parents around the world that modern life is draining the joy out of parenting, especially as their children hit the teen years.

So I want to use my experience to restore the delight for families in being together – even in the teen years. While I continue to provide personal and family therapy, I also provide professional guidance to parents keen to find fun ways to work with their own resident ‘happy family’ experts – their children.

Your Own Expert Guide

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Play Therapist, I thrive on bringing the best clinical methods into everyday life.

I can help you and your child develop communication skills, resilience and empathy without it feeling like hard work. Forget lying on a couch, I picture working around a campfire; a place of warmth, community and trust.

You are the expert on your child, so I add my experience in crisis Intervention skills, the latest psychotherapy techniques, attachment theory and play therapy so together we generate life-changing results.

As co-owner of Hope and Healing Family Counseling, LLC in Roseville MN, I work providing therapy and mental health consultancy to families, as well as teachers and other professionals in the field of mental health who work with children. As a partner in Safe Haven, I provide comprehensive support for clinicians, social workers and other mental health professionals at all stages of their professional journeys.

Fun-loving Global Perspective

I have great respect for the insights that come from diversity as I was born in Australia, and have lived in Malaysia, South Korea and Hong Kong. I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have worked as a therapist for children who have a hearing loss since 1995.

For fun, I enjoy karaoke-ing 80s music, keeping up with pop culture with the help of my girls, swimming the beautiful lakes of Minnesota, reading in bed and sharing the language of play with the young and the young at heart.

I’d like to mentor and inspire you to nurture your relationship with your child, especially in their middle school or ‘tween’ years. Developing your presence at this time, means they can become a teen who trusts that you have their best interests at heart, both of you confident that you have valuable wisdom to share – for life.

Let's talk - I can help you

I offer free fun one-hour group workshops, online programs and personal coaching. Together we use the power of play to improve communication between you and your child and develop life skills. The results often amaze parents – even in such a short time.

Why campfire?

Think of a cozy campfire; where everyone gathers, shares stories and feels the warmth. That’s what happens here. It’s a beacon where your family can come together.

Remember making smores – that’s the kind of fun I bring into our sessions; there’s plenty of room for smiles and laughter.

And just like a campfire transforms wood into glowing embers, my coaching helps your family transform so it can keep burning brightly, keeping away darkness.

So, come join me around the ‘campfire’, I’ve saved a seat for you.
